Downtown
On Sunday I visited downtown New Haven- the only day I had off with some sun! Most of these shots were taken with my telephoto lens, but some were taken with my kit lens. I used my standard Nikon editing program (NX 2) to work with my photos. Some were edited using the Color Sync Utility. For the most part, I looked for interesting shadows or symmetrical building designs. I took over 100 pictures, but these were the best.
From this assignment, I learned that cropping and straightening does not fix all photos. In the future, I plan to be more careful about the angle at which I hold my camera.
Wonderful series Kelly! Brilliant understanding of my intention for this assignment... Class take note... You are filling the frame with strong geometric design and using light effectively. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThese are some very nice shots!!!!

ReplyDeleteYou did a magnificent job with this series of pictures. The shadows, use of angles, colors and your filling of the frame worked to your advantage for sure. I love the picture of the bikes on the wall and the mushrooms ( at least I believe that's what they are). I also like the picture of the statue with the building in the background. the lighting in that picture is very interesting.
Thank you for sharing.
